Roller shutters
Roller shutters for comfort, privacy and security
Roller shutters are versatile. They suit any home, keep the heat out in summer, darken the bedroom and form an extra barrier against burglars. We install Winsol roller shutters on existing windows and in new builds, and because we're electricians ourselves, we connect the motor and the controls straight away.

Which roller shutter suits your home?
The right type depends mainly on your windows. Are the existing windows staying, or are new ones going in?

Fitted on the outside of the house, in front of the existing windows. The easiest way to add roller shutters, without any demolition work.
Fusion
Front-mounted roller shutters with Fusion slats. They let in up to four times more light and have a built-in insect screen.
Solarfuse
Solar-powered front-mounted roller shutters with Fusion slats. No cables need to run inside, so they're ideal for renovations.

Built into the façade or above the window, so you can't see a box from outside. The most attractive choice for new builds and full renovations.

A roller shutter and window combined in a single unit. That makes them very suitable if you're fitting new windows as part of a renovation anyway.

No more tugging on straps
The days of tugging on straps and cranks are over. Large roller shutters are heavy, so electric operation is no unnecessary luxury. You control them with a wall switch, a remote or your smartphone.
Want more? Then we link your roller shutters to a home automation system, so that, for example, they close automatically when it gets dark or when the sun is beating down on the façade.

Installed and connected by the same tradespeople
On many projects, a separate electrician has to come in for the electrical connection. Not with us: we are installers and electricians. We provide the power supply, fit the switches and set up the motors. One appointment, one point of contact, and the assurance that everything works together.
Why roller shutters are a good investment
Cool in summer
A roller shutter keeps the sun's heat out before it even reaches the glass. So it stays pleasant inside without air conditioning.
Sleep in the dark
Roller shutters black out your bedroom completely, even during long summer evenings.
Extra security
A closed roller shutter forms an extra barrier against burglars when you're not at home.
Quieter inside
Roller shutters also muffle the noise of wind, rain and traffic.
Questions we often get
Can I have roller shutters fitted without new windows?
Yes. Front-mounted roller shutters are fitted on the outside, in front of your existing windows. No demolition work on the façade is needed.
Do I need a socket for electric roller shutters?
An electric roller shutter needs a power supply, which we provide ourselves. If you'd rather not run cables, solar-powered roller shutters such as Solarfuse are a good alternative.
Can existing strap-operated roller shutters be made electric?
Often, yes, but it depends on the condition and type of the roller shutter. We're happy to take a look on site.
Can I control my roller shutters with my smartphone?
Yes. Electric roller shutters can work with a wall switch, a remote control or an app, and we can link them to home automation too.
